Yong Soo is a lively trainer who is very competitive and always is looking his next opponent. He's very active in keeping up with his fanbase and enjoys being in the limelight. Though he puts tons of time and effort in keeping his image, he does train hard and it shows in his matches where he focuses heavily on both attack and defence. He got his start when he turned 10 years old like many trainers do, but only went global when he turned 18 years old. He dreams of being part of Elite Four or running his own gym.

Yong Soo's first Pokemon was a Hisuian Growlithe, and is his now his ace as a Hisuian Arcanine.
