about
Raivis is a trainer who has struggled to get noticed. Although he's been battling for almost as long as his peers, his frequent losses have made it difficult for him to climb the ladder. But Raivis remains hopeful that his time to shine is soon coming. He has remained in the Top 10 within his home country for years, and has most recently made it within the Top 70 in the European standings. His new goal is to now crack the Top 100 globally. His battle style appears to focus more on defence (perhaps a bit too much) and he has been guilty to not train as much as he probably should. He somehow always finds himself getting into strange situations, leaving his Ampharos to fix the problem. Therefore, it's always keeping a watchful eye on Raivis to make sure he stays out of trouble.

Since his early teens, Raivis had primarily participated in tournaments within the Baltics States. It wasn't until he was 18, he began travelling globally for competitions. Although he does not have a type preference, he's been labelled as a Bug-type specialist by officials due to the large amount of Bug Pokemon he uses in battle and his success within the Bug-type category in tournaments. Ampharos serves as both his main and strongest Pokemon. Raivis had been visiting his grandparents on the outskirts of Riga when a lone Mareep wandered onto their property. His grandmother caught the Mareep for Raivis to become his first Pokemon.
