Juan lives a quiet life outside the capital. He used to dominate the standings growing up but has slowly phased himself out of the spotlight and into retirement. Juan never ventured out much globally and stuck close to home, participating in tournaments in Latin America. Juan still ranks fairly high in Cuban standings and therefore still gets invites to international tournaments. He's currently been offered to take the Gym Leader position in Santa Clara but hasn't decided if he'll take it or not.

His Lombre was his first Pokemon, however his ace is his Victreebel.
