Ludwig is a top-notch trainer with many titles and trophies that bare his name. He takes his training very seriously and does what he has to do in order to win. Ludwig was discovered as a child to be a natural at battling and both he and his brother were trained by their idols to prepare them for competitions at a global level. His battle style consists of both attack and defence; he makes sure his team has a variety of multi-type moves so they can adapt to their weaknesses. This makes him a difficult challenger to take down.

In addition to strong battle skills, Ludwig is level-headed and will often study his opponents closely before every match. These attributes have helped him claim top spots in various rankings. Ludwig is still undecided as to what his long-terms goals are for the future. Studying Pokemon as a profession is of high interest to him but for now he intends to keep on competing in tournaments around the world. Ludwig's first Pokemon was an Electrike that was gifted to him by his parents. Now a powerful and speedy Manectric, it is also his ace.
