Unlike her friend Mei Ling who focuses on contests, Lien is on the other end of the spectrum and focuses strictly on battling. She comes from a family of top trainers and is looking to keep the name going strong. Her father currently holds the top spot at the Elite Four in Vietnam and her goal is to beat him and take the top spot for herself. Lien is a shy and private trainer therefore she largely avoids the media. She dreads giving interviews and doing photo ops but understands it’s part of the job so she handles it as best she can. Lien’s battle style is very attack-based and teaches her team the strongest attacks possible for them to learn. Lien is among the Top 5 in Vietnam but she still struggles to compete with bigger talent on the world stage; barely cracking the Top 100.
