The oldest of the three siblings, Iryna learned to battle at an early age and helped trained both her Ivan and Natalya when the three of them still lived under one roof. Her team doesn't look much but she is fiercely competitive and her Pokemon are not quitters. She is among the best in Ukraine but barely makes the cut in global rankings. She mostly partakes in tournaments in Europe but does travel outside the continent, more frequently than her sister does. Her favourite types are Grass and Bug. She hopes to one day specialize in either type and run her own gym. However she would love to become a teacher as well.

Iryna grew up poor and the money she won during battles helped put food on the table and give her the clothes on her back. As a child, she lived in Minsk for several years when her mother remarried, but was sent back to Kyiv to permanently live with her father after the marriage had failed. Today, she is not on speaking terms with her mother and the siblings treat each other as if they're strangers to one another.
