Dylan comes from a long line of Dragon-type specialists. His parents were former champions in Wales and served as his coaches when became old enough to participate in tournaments. Dylan appears sweet and gentle when competitors first meet him but is absolutely ruthless in battles. His parents taught him that attacking was more important than playing defensively, so many of his Pokemon boast powerful attack moves in various typings to help patch his team's weaknesses.

His ace is his Flapple, who he received as an Applin as a child for his first Pokemon. Like Alistair, his goal is to keep battling for as long as he can and be remembered for being one of the best Dragon-type specialists of all time.
