Alistair is a top ranked trainer and is well-respected among Fairy-type specialists. He's been competing in tournaments since he was 10 years old and has made a long career travelling around the world seeking competitions to enrol in. Arthur, his half-brother, grew up watching Alistair compete and chose to follow him in his footsteps in training Fairy-types. Alistair served as his mentor at the beginning of Arthur's career, but the two became bitter rivals as Arthur grew to be egotistical when he quickly grew in the rankings. The two brothers have since patched things between them as adults, with their rivalry now being more friendly.

Alistair's ace is his Rapidash, who he received as his first Pokemon when it was Ponyta. He is determined to keep battling for as long as time will allow him. His goal in life is to be remembered as one of the best Fairy-type specialists of all time.
